Description
This barn was located on the family farm of Cal Turner in Brentwood TN, the deceased founder of Dollar General. It was best known for the large Nativity painting which was draped on the roof every Christmastime (and preserved in storage the rest of the year.) The1930s loafing barn was destroyed in 2011 after it was damaged beyond repair in a wind storm. A new open air structure was built in 2012 on the same site and the nativity painting continues to be draped on it's roof each Christmas
