Description
My friend Caryn took this photo when she and her husband were visiting Peru! I just loved it! I love how she captured the shepherds herding the sheep through the countryside and I just had to paint it! I painted this in layers of watercolor. The sky and the ground are just washes of color, keeping them very light. The foliage, figures and sheep have many layers in order to get the rich, dark colors. I left the sheep heads alone so they are the bare paper with no paint color at all.
