Title
Schonbuhel Castle in Austria
Artist
Janet King
Medium
Painting - Watercolor
Description
The Schonbuhel Castle is over 1000 years old and was the property of the Bishops of Passau. The castle is known as the "Watchman of the Wachau". It is located in the Lower Austrian town of Schonbuhel-Aggsbach, below Melk on the right bank of the Danube. I painted this from a photograph that my mother took last summer when she visited there. I love its architectural features and its reflection in the river.

Wow, Joseph, thanks for your encouragement. I just started doing watercolor and I love this medium! I just checked out your art and I love the Sketch Club 3, because It reminds of me and my girlfriends sitting in art class together!

Janet, I'll bet your Mom is glad she took that morning shot of Schonbuhel last year; this re-do more than does it justice!--it's museum-quality!
